Gore

Clothes strewn across the floor,
Undress,
Redress,
Door shut.

Flurry of limbs,
Arms flail with reckless passion,
Bodies move lit with abandon,
Like soldiers at a feast,
After years of rations.

The heat is intense,
The gore doubly immense,
The need defies logic,
Defies sense.

After the deed is done,
Only clothes remain in a trail,
One thing humans desire without fail,
The sign reads ‘SALE’.
